It’s a busy weekend in combat sports, and Invicta FC is here to bring you another tournament tonight (March 6th).
From the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas, the third “Phoenix Rising” card will commence. Eight women will compete in a one-night, single-elimination tournament. Unlike the previous two tourneys, no belt is on the line for the winner, as the main event is for the actual bantamweight championship between Lisa Verzosa and Julija Stoliarenko.
The tournament starts off with one-round quarterfinals, and the semifinals will be randomized if there are no finishes. Otherwise the person with the fastest finish gets to choose her opponent.
