Invicta FC 41 is official after the fighters on the card weighed in on Wednesday, but one of the main event competitors failed to hit the mark.
Janaisa Morandin tipped the scales at 116.9 pounds — .9 pounds over the limit for a non-title strawweight fight. As a result, Morandin will forfeit 25 percent of her purse to opponent Montserrat Ruiz, who came in at 114 pounds for the featured strawweight bout.
This will be Morandin’s fifth appearance in Invicta FC after previously facing off with opponents such as Virna Jandiroba and Livia Renata Souza, who both moved onto the join the UFC roster.
