Invicta FC 17 results: Tonya Evinger retains her title, Angela Hill wins strawweight gold

Following her bantamweight title bout in the main event of Invicta FC 17, Evinger kissed her interviewer Laura Sanko after saying she had thrown up in a bucket. Apart from that unusual moment, Evinger stated that she wasn't happy with her performance.

Happy or not, the 34-year-old bantamweight fighter did enough to defend her belt, relying on her wrestling and ground control to outpoint Colleen Schneider all throughout the fight. Even though this was Evinger's second fight since winning the Invicta FC bantamweight title back in July 2015, it was Evinger's first title defense since her opponent failed to make weight in her previous trip to the cage, making the fight a non-title bout.
