Ilima-Lei Macfarlane has grown accustomed to having the bull’s-eye on her back.
The popular Hawaiian will put her undefeated record and her Bellator MMA women’s flyweight championship on the line against the unbeaten Juliana Velasquez in the Bellator 254 headliner on Thursday at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Macfarlane, 30, captured the 125-pound crown a little more than three years ago and has since defended it on four different occasions, turning away Alejandra Lara, Valerie Letourneau, Veta Arteaga and Kate Jackson.
