“He’s a good fighter. I just don’t think he’s good enough to beat me.”

Before Daniel Cormier came along, Stipe Miocic was considered the greatest heavyweight in the world. The 36-year-old defended his UFC heavyweight title a record-breaking three-times, winning two of those title defenses via knockout.

At UFC 226, however, that championship winning streak came to an end, as former Olympian Daniel Cormier shocked the world by KO’ing Miocic in the first round to become the promotion’s first-ever simultaneous light heavyweight and heavyweight champ.

Cormier then went on to defend his heavyweight title against Derrick Lewis, submitting ‘The Black Beast’ in the second round of the UFC 230 main event to cement his position as the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
