Graphic: Former champ Tim Sylvia wants UFC to pay for infection caused by 2004 loss to Frank Mir

Way back in 2004, Tim Sylvia had his arm broken by Frank Mir during an iconic, and gruesome, submission loss at UFC 48. Now 16 years on, Sylvia is still having issues with the injury.

At first many thought the stoppage in the fight against Mir was wrong, even Sylvia himself not realizing his arm was broke.

Now having been retired from fighting for seven years, Sylvia has a nasty infection in the broken arm. You can check it out for yourself, but it’s pretty nasty.
