Global Fight League Teases Return in 2026

The Global Fight League is seemingly planning a comeback.

GFL created a stir in the MMA world last year by signing a plethora of UFC veterans. The promotion was scheduled to launch this past May with back-to-back events in Los Angeles. However, the events were canceled with founder Darren Owen citing funding issues.

Longtime MMA manager Lloyd Pierson, who represents fighters like Urijah Faber, Chris Weidman and Tony Ferguson at GFL, accused the promotion of not keeping their commitments. Pierson firstly slammed the promotion for canceling the planned events, for which fighters had to go through costly training camps.
