WBA lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis was arrested Friday morning in Miami Beach on a battery charge related to an alleged domestic incident involving his ex-girlfriend, with whom he shares children and a four-year relationship.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on June 15, Father’s Day, just after 9 p.m., during a custody exchange. The woman told police that a verbal argument escalated into physical violence, alleging that Davis struck her in the back of the head and slapped her in the face, causing a visible laceration. Her mother told officers she arrived shortly after the incident and found her daughter “visibly distressed and crying.
