Garry Tonon is set to make his long-awaited transition to mixed martial arts in a lightweight bout at ONE Championship’s upcoming event in Bangkok, Thailand, on March 24.
Tonon is set to meet Richard Corminal (4-3), who fought twice under the ONE Championship banner in 2017, suffering first-round stoppage losses to Shannon Wiratchai and Arnaud Lepont.
Tonon holds grappling victories over a list of popular MMA names, including Shinya Aoki, Dillon Danis (twice), Beneil Dariush, Marcin Held, Gilbert Burns, Vinny Magalhaes and Ralek Gracie.
