It’s been four years since Conor McGregor talked his way into a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather. With Logan Paul following in Conor’s footsteps, Showtime Sports was kind enough to refresh our memories.
Mayweather vs. McGregor wasn’t exactly a great display of integrity for either sport. But it was, at least, a fun collision between elite two athletes extremely skilled in their respective sports with a very modest degree of overlap.
It’s still a fun fight to watch. MMA fans seemed to extract the wrong lessons though. McGregor lasted longer than MMA fans expected, and people made a big deal about how McGregor landed more punches than Manny Pacquiao in two fewer rounds.
