Frankie Edgar has been calling for a fight against Conor McGregor, yet he believes that fight may not happen.
The former UFC lightweight champion announced he is moving down to bantamweight but would go back up to 155-pounds if that meant he could fight McGregor. However, he says the UFC is not interested in booking that fight.
“I told him I want to fight him,” Edgar told ESPN. “I told the UFC I want to fight him. But honestly, I don’t think the UFC wants that fight. I don’t know whether they don’t want it because they don’t want him to lose to me or they don’t think they can build it.
