Former UFC Fighter Bryan Battle Picked Up by PFL

When asked if the Professional Fighters League knows what Bryan Battle is saying, it responded, “absolutely.”

Welterweight Battle (12-2, 1 NC) saw his time with the Ultimate Fighting Championship come to an end in August after missing weight ahead of his middleweight pairing with Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC 319. With Battle exceeding the 186-pound cap by four pounds, his match was canceled and he was released from the organization.

On Friday, the PFL announced that Battle had been signed to their roster as a 185er. It is unclear if he will be participating in next year’s tournament—the middleweight bracket was won by Fabian Edwards in August—or if he will be placed into showcase bouts or in high-profile excursions on their regional spinoff organizations.
