Islam Makhachev feels strongly about the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Makhachev recently expressed his support for Palestinians in their ongoing conflict with Israel. The former UFC lightweight champ criticized Israel, accusing the country of committing atrocities against an unarmed people.
“I greet everyone who has gathered today in Istanbul. I greet everyone who cares about the lives of the residents in Palestine and the residents of the Gaza Strip,” he said during a virtual press conference. “Today I, Islam Makhachev, want to appeal to everyone, first of all not as an athlete, not as a champion, but as a simple person who cares about what this lawless people have been doing for two years.
