Few things get sports fans crankier than the breakup of a familiar announcing team. Hell, as a Boston Red Sox fan, I never got over play-by-play guy Sean McDonough getting shoved out the door in 2005. I never accepted his replacement, Don Orsillo, even though he developed a rep as a solid announcer himself.
