Former light heavyweight champion Phil Davis will return to the cage at Bellator 231, a Bellator official confirmed on Wednesday.
Davis meets Karl Albrektsson in the co-headliner of the Oct. 25 event at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The news was first reported by MMA Junkie.
Bellator 231’s main card airs live on Paramount following prelims on DAZN and MMAFighting.
Ex-champ Davis gets back to work five months after a second win over fellow ex-champ Liam McGeary. Davis broke McGeary’s jaw with a crank during the Bellator 220 clash, resulting in a third-round TKO.
