Eryk Anders took his second career defeat in stride, offering both a little humor and a little class in his post-fight reaction.
Anders accepted a bout against Thiago Santos in the UFC Fight Night 137 main event on less than a week’s notice after Jimi Manuwa was injured shortly after arriving in Brazil. Anders was a game opponent but reached exhaustion at the end of the third stanza following a barrage of elbows from Santos. The fight was stopped shortly thereafter when the former University of Alabama linebacker couldn’t make it back to his corner before the fourth round.
