The weigh-ins for the Top Rank Boxing quadrupleheader produced no drama on the scale, as headliners Eleider Alvarez (24-0, 12 KOs) and Sergey Kovalev (32-3-1, 28 KOs) both weighed in under the light heavyweight limit of 175 lbs, meaning their WBO championship rematch is official for Saturday night. Alvarez is the champion this time around, having KO’d Kovalev last August in what was considered a major upset at the time.
Also making weight are co-headliners Teofimo Lopez (11-0, 9 KOs) and Diego Magdaleno (31-3, 13 KOs) in a ten-round bout that represents another step up in competition for Lopez.
