Eddie Wineland will get the chance to fight not far from home at UFC on Fox 16 in Chicago. Wineland, who resides in Indiana, will take on Bryan Caraway on the July 25th show. The bout was confirmed by the UFC earlier today.
Wineland (21-10-1, 3-3 UFC), a former WEC bantamweight champion, hasn't competed since a shocking knockout loss to Johnny Eduardo last May. He has challenged for a UFC belt before, getting bested by Renan Barao back in 2013.
Caraway (19-7, 5-2 UFC) had a two-fight winning streak stopped at the hands of top contender Raphael Assuncao last October in Halifax.
