Dustin Poirier's concussion will delay rematch against Eddie Alvarez

The good news is that, according to MMA Fighting, the UFC is looking to book a rematch between lightweight standouts Dustin Poirier and Eddie Alvarez, after their pulsating bout at UFC 211 ended in a controversial no contest.

The bad news? MMA fans will have to wait until around November, as 'The Diamond’ picked up a concussion and needs time to heal. Poirier's manager, Robert Roveta, told MMAF that they are taking his concussion symptoms 'very seriously'.

Poirier vs. Alvarez was one of the most exciting fights of the night, with both men electrifying the American Airlines Center with a wild exchange in the second round.
