Retirement crossed Drew Dober’s mind before his wife motivated him for at least one more fight.
Dober was on the longest losing streak of his career, having dropped three fights in a row since last year. With some around him advising retirement, the 37-year-old was at a critical juncture in his life.
Dober was discussing his career with his wife, Hollis Casey, while vacationing in Paris. Dober wanted her advice on whether he should take at least another UFC fight. Casey said that if he felt ready for another fight, he should go all in without considering retirement.
