Professional wrestling has lost so many icons in 2015. Last night, another got added to the growing list. Nick Bockwinkel passed away on Saturday night at the age of 80 years old.
I’m 29 years old, so my first exposure to Nick Bockwinkel happened during his short run as Commissioner in mid-90’s. My favorite moment with him as commissioner occurred at Spring Stampede 1994. In a ridiculous scenario, Bockwinkel took away the handcuffs and night stick of “The Boss” (Ray Traylor, a.k.a. The Big Boss Man) after an assault on Big Van Vader and Harley Race, proclaiming that, “He’s no longer The Boss!
