Diego Ferreira will face a stiff test to snap a two-fight losing skid.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that Ferreira will take on Grant Dawson at the UFC’s event on Oct. 2 at a location and venue yet to be announced. MMA Junkie was the first to report the booking.
Ferreira began 2020 by becoming the first fighter to submit Anthony Pettis at UFC 246 to pick up his sixth straight win. The 36-year-old wouldn’t fight again for the rest of the year and returned at February’s UFC Vegas 18 event and dropped a split decision to Beneil Dariush.
