Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — November 22 can’t come fast enough for Devin Haney. The former undisputed lightweight king and junior welterweight titleholder will debut at 147 pounds against unbeaten WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr. on The Ring IV: Night of the Champions card in Riyadh.
New weight, same ambition
Haney (32-0, 15 KOs, 1 NC) is chasing hardware in a third division. After years of draining to make lighter limits, he says welterweight unlocks the best version of himself.
“It’s the best I felt… I was killing myself to make that weight,” Haney said. “In my past fights, you saw me more of a shell of myself… I feel a lot better, a lot stronger.
