Carlos Condit has pulled out of a proposed welterweight clash with Mickey Gall at UFC on ESPN 7 due to a detached retina.
The former interim champion announced the news in an Instagram story on Wednesday. The promotion is reportedly seeking a replacement opponent for Gall.
“Unfortunately I am out of the fight against Mickey Gall,” Condit wrote. “I have a detached retina and I need surgery. It sucks and it’s a [shitty] situation. My apologies to Mickey and his team. Hopefully the UFC can find a replacement.
