Derrick Lewis believes Waldo Cortes-Acosta isn’t proud of the color of his skin.

Lewis and Cortes-Acosta are scheduled to trade leather in a heavyweight tilt at UFC 324 on Jan. 24 in Las Vegas. Lewis recently revealed that one of the reasons he wants to fight Cortes-Acosta is because of his comments about the color of his skin. Cortes-Acosta recently refused to identify as a Black person, claiming he is Dominican.

“I’m Dominican I’m not Black,” Cortes-Acosta wrote on X. “Love you even the haters.”

However, Lewis doesn’t think there is any difference between Dominicans and Black people.
