Last week, former double champ Henry Cejudo responded to flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo being named fighter of the year with some of his typical trash talk. The retired fighter said that he could beat Figueiredo inside one round, which unsurprisingly led Figueiredo to respond.
In a video posted on his Instagram, the 125-pound kingpin called out Cejudo (in English) and called him ‘fatso’:
“Hey Cejudo, look at me fatso. I’m going to knock you out! My middle name is ‘Danger’.”
The 33-year-old Cejudo retired in May following a successful bantamweight title defense against former champ Dominick Cruz.
