The scheduled main event between Keshawn Davis vs Edwin De Los Santois Saturday night in Norfolk, VA was called off. Unfortunately Keshawn Davis lost his WBO lightweight championship on the scales. He came in at 139.3 pounds on the scale, four pounds over the 135 limit.
“We renegotiated 10 pounds, plus money, but we concluded that Davis never tried to make weight,” Lewkowicz told ESPN’s Salvador Rodriguez. “He came dancing to the scale. I didn’t want what happened to Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia to happen. We canceled the fight.”
Edwin De Los Santos' promoter Sampson Lewkowicz details what led to the canceled bout against Keyshawn Davis.
