Bellator 264 is down a bantamweight bout.
MMA Fighting confirmed with officials that Sabatello (11-1) is out of his fight with Johnny Campbell (21-13, 1 NC) that was to take place this Friday at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. According to sources with knowledge of the cancellation, Sabatello was forced to withdraw after testing positive for COVID-19.
It is not yet known if officials are seeking a short-notice opponent to keep Campbell on the card.
This was to be Sabatello’s second Bellator bout after he spoiled the debut of former UFC bantamweight standout Brett Johns in May.
