Like the rest of the sports world, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has put its schedule on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Las Vegas-based promotion was forced to postpone events on March 21, March 28 and April 11 as the outbreak intensified around the world. However, UFC 249 is still expected to take place on April 18, as Dana White recently revealed that a location has been selected for the card headlined by a lightweight championship clash between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson.
Daniel Cormier, who is a training partner of Nurmagomedov’s at American Kickboxing Academy, has the same information everyone else does regarding the status of UFC 249.
