Jon Jones will still have his day in court stemming from a misdemeanor battery charge but it appears UFC president Dana White is already in his corner.
Jones was charged after a waitress at a gentlemen’s club in Albuquerque, New Mexico accused the light heavyweight champion of physically accosting her during his visit to the establishment. The woman claimed Jones slapped her and also put her in a chokehold before leaving the club.
She later called police and filed charges against Jones. Through his representatives, Jones has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
For his part, White had stated just days ago that he had gone ‘numb’ to Jones’ problems outside the cage after he’s faced a litany of legal issues in recent years including a hit-and-run car accident as well as a DUI in the past.
