With the former 205-pound champion remaining at odds with the UFC over his contract for a return to action at heavyweight, UFC president Dana White isn’t holding up the division with plans already in place for the next title fight as well as potentially a new No. 1 contender.
“Jon Jones is under contract,” White said recently on “The Jake Asman Show.” “He has a contract. We have tried to work with him and see if there are things we can do to make him want to fight at heavyweight.
