Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone have rapidly become the new “will they or won’t they?” couple in the UFC.
For the better part of 2019, the two lightweights have been linked to a potential showdown inside the UFC Octagon. Initially, McGregor tweeted he was down to scrap with “Cowboy” in January. With UFC President Dana White declaring he’d attempt to book the two fan favorites, it felt like only a matter of time before the fight officials announced the pairing. But after more back-and-forth on social media led to nothing, Cerrone declared he was “done chasing” a fight against the Irishman.
