Covington tells ‘leprechaun’ Conor McGregor and ‘broke back Cowboy’ to retire

Colby Covington hasn’t had much to say about the upcoming welterweight bout between Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone at UFC 246, but ‘Chaos’ couldn’t help himself when asked about the matchup in a recent interview with Helen Yee.

Covington, who will take on Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title at UFC 245, called McGregor a ‘leprechaun’ and Cerrone ‘broke back Cowboy’, claiming that both fighters are washed up and should retire.

“You know, I look at broke back Cowboy, a guy who is way over the hill, versus the Irish little leprechaun Conor McGregor who is cashed out in his own right,” Covington said, per Jon Fuentes of The Low Kick MMA.
