It may not be for a UFC title, but there is a lot of expectations behind the matchup between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal. For Diaz, it is a fight to determine who the “baddest motherf—r” in the game is. Likewise, Masvidal believes it is a fight that fans want to see.
UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington, however, doesn’t think too highly of the said pairing.
“Yeah, you know, it’s the battle of the journeyman. It’s an exciting fight, the battle of the 500-level fighter,” Covington told TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter in a recent interview (transcript by MMA Mania).
