Cory Sandhagen is an absolute sport following his UFC 320 loss to Merab Dvalishvili.
Sandhagen challenged Dvalishvili for the bantamweight title in the co-main event at UFC 320 last Saturday in Las Vegas. Dvalishvili executed his signature game plan, landing 20 takedowns, the most ever in a UFC title fight, to earn a unanimous decision win. While Dvalishvili repeatedly took Sanhagen down, “The Sandman” worked his way back up faster than most of the champion’s previous opponents and also hurt him on the feet.
After rewatching the fight, Sandhagen believes he could have won had he not been rocked in the second round.
