Conor McGregor’s charges reduced on alleged phone smashing incident

Conor McGregor was arrested in March and charged with one count of strong-arm robbery and one count of criminal mischief, for allegedly slapping away and stomping on a fan’s phone in Miami.

According to a report from USA Today, prosecutors have since reduced the charges, lowering the degree of one felony charge, and converting the other to a misdemeanor.

The felony criminal mischief charge is now just a misdemeanor since the listed value of the phone went from $1000 to “between $200 and $1000.” As for his strong-armed robbery, it has changed from a second-degree felony to “robbery by sudden snatching,” which is a third-degree felony.
