Conor McGregor Says That He’s Currently in ‘Contract Negotiations’ for Next UFC Bout

His manager has already said that a showdown with Tony Ferguson is ”inevitable," and now Conor McGregor himself is hinting that a lightweight championship unification bout is on the horizon.

In an interview with entertainment.ie to promote his documentary “Notorious,” McGregor says that a UFC return is the most desirable next option for him. He also hints that negotiations have begun for a fight with Tony Ferguson, although he does not mention “El Cucuy” by name. Ferguson captured the interim lightweight crown with a victory over Kevin Lee at UFC 216.
