Conor McGregor releases post-UFC 257 statement, teases ‘blockbuster trilogy’

On the UFC’s so-called ‘Fight Island’ yesterday Conor McGregor experienced a first for him inside the MMA cage; a TKO loss. At UFC 257 the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion was stopped in the second round by Dustin Poirier, a man McGregor TKO’d back in 2014.

Today McGregor took to twitter to share some of his reaction to the loss and also hint at what might be to come in the future.

“Thanks for the support everyone! Was not my night/morning in there but a great contest to improve on. I’m excited at the blockbuster trilogy I now have on my hands.
