Jose Aldo's coach is retiring from head coaching, and it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that UFC 189 opponent Conor McGregor had a response to that.
A couple of months ago, UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo teased a big announcement after his UFC 189 title defense against Conor McGregor. There has been much speculation about what the announcement might entail, but McGregor himself isn't too worried about it.
When asked about the possibilities at a media scrum last week, he took the opportunity to throw a jab at Nova Uniao (and Aldo's) head coach Andre Pederneiras, who recently stated that he'd be retiring from head coaching and cornering later this year (via MMA Fighting):
"Maybe it's announced that [Aldo is] gone as well, because his coach is gone.
