Former two-division Ultimate Fighting Championship beltholder Conor McGregor is not overly pleased by how the case against him concluded.
On Thursday, the Court of Appeal in Dublin dismissed McGregor’s appeal entirely, on the grounds that his claims and complaints were not reasonable. One judge deemed the suggestion that the Dublin High Court erred in its jury instruction as “simply unreal.” As a result, McGregor was reaffirmed to have to pay roughly $250,000 in damages to Nikita Hand for sexually assaulting her in 2018. Additionally, he must shoulder the burden of the legal costs of Hand, himself and co-defendant James Lawrence, the latter of whom found not liable.
