Conor McGregor Eyes Historic Third UFC Title: “I Want a Crack at That 170-Pound Belt”

Conor McGregor says only one thing awaits him if he returns to the Octagon: gold. The former two-division UFC champion has doubled down on his intent to compete at next summer’s historic UFC White House card, which is in active development for June 2026. And if McGregor gets his way, his comeback won’t merely be about re-entering the win column he wants a shot at welterweight champion Islam Makhachev and a chance to become the UFC’s first-ever three-division titleholder.

“I’m motivated. I’m self-motivated and I for sure want a crack at that belt,” McGregor told Bloody Elbow. “I for sure want a crack at that 170-pound belt to go for the triple crown.
