Combate Americas announces return with ‘fight series,’ beginning Aug. 28 with inaugural flyweight title main event

Combate Americas will return to action with a brand new interactive fight series.

Promotion officials confirmed to MMA Fighting that events will resume on Aug. 28 with a trio of Friday night shows. In addition, Combate Americas will host events on Sept. 11 and Sept. 25 in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

The fight cards will take place at a state-of-the-art closed set in Miami, Fla. and will air in English on AXS TV, and in Spanish on Univision and TUDN USA.

“As live sports return to television, Combate Americas is going to utilize this closed set studio series to deliver something that fans have never seen before and that will bring them closer than ever to the action from their screens,” said Combate Americas CEO Campbell McLaren in a statement.
