It’s safe to say that Colby Covington isn’t the most popular fighter on the UFC roster.
Shortly after his career-defining win against Robbie Lawler at UFC on ESPN 5, former college teammate Jon Jones expressed his disappoint in the result, blaming Robbie Lawler for letting ‘the whole world down’.
Covington soon caught wind of Jones’ reaction and put the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion on blast for his comments, calling him “the biggest piece of s*it in all of sports.”
“Jon Jones, he’s out there talking s*it about Robbie Lawler letting the world down? Jon Jones knows firsthand about letting the whole world down,” Covington told MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin in a recent interview.
