Colby Covington predicts Kamaru Usman ‘ragdolls’ Jorge Masvidal at UFC 251, eyes rematch in 2020

Colby Covington was hoping to get his second chance at Kamaru Usman in the main event of UFC 251.

In the end, the welterweight title shot went to Jorge Masvidal after Gilbert Burns was forced to withdraw from the originally scheduled welterweight title fight to christen “Fight Island” this Saturday night. “Chaos” isn’t necessarily surprised by this past weekend’s development, and even believes he understands why Usman ultimately agreed to the fight with Masvidal.

Covington joined MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck for an exclusive interview to discuss the new UFC 251 headliner, whether or not he was an option to take the fight, how he sees the fight playing out, being ready to challenge for the title next regardless of who wins, leaving American Top Team to start his own squad, if he believes he’ll fight in 2020 with the state of the promotion, and much more.
