Coach Kavanagh: Conor McGregor and I ‘did kind of drift’ prior to Nate Diaz loss

There are a lot of reasons why Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion Conor McGregor lost to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 earlier this year. The current explanation is that the lightweight Stocktonite is “three times the size” of the puny Irishman.

Gigantism aside, a more plausible explanation has surfaced in recent days, thanks to head coach John Kavanagh, as the SGB Ireland head cheese explained (via MMA Fighting) that his relationship with McGregor stated to drift prior to UFC 196.
