CM Punk’s 2018 UFC loss has been overturned due to marijuana test

Over three years since the fight took place, CM Punk’s decision loss to Mike Jackson at UFC 225 has been overturned to a no contest after it was revealed Jackson tested positive for marijuana.

MMA Junkie learned the news through the Freedom of Information Act request, with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) also confirming the news. It means that Punk, who hasn’t competed in MMA since the loss, now has just one official defeat on his record instead of going 0-2.

Jackson tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive substance present in marijuana, and was suspended for three months following the positive test.
