Chris Weidman finally got back into the win column in July, but it didn’t come without a little punishment — and a photo he’ll remember forever.
The former middleweight champion fought rising contender Kelvin Gastelum in the UFC on FOX 25 main event at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York on July 22. He had a successful first four minutes and would go on to submit his smaller counterpart in the third round, but “The All-American” faced adversity in the closing moments of round one.
Gastelum dropped Weidman with a left hand, and said he could have finished the New York native if he had 30 extra seconds.
