Chase Hooper issues statement after UFC 250 loss, jabs at ‘dad’ Ben Askren

At 20 years old, Dana White Contender Series alum Chase Hooper is starting to make waves as a UFC fighter. For his second fight with the company on Saturday at UFC 250, he was given the biggest test of his career in the form of veteran Alex Caceres.

“Bruce Leeroy” was simply too much for Hooper, who played catch up on the feet the entire time. The youngster ended up losing via unanimous decision, his first taste of defeat in his three-year professional career.

But for Hooper, it was a learning experience more than anything. In his short post-fight statement on Twitter, “The Dream” is already looking to dust himself off and carry on with his budding career.
