It’s been nearly two years since Charles Oliveira was last beaten inside the UFC’s Octagon and on Saturday night, he made a strong case for a push toward the promotion’s lightweight title.
Oliveira (28-8, 1 NC) clobbered Jared Gordon in one of the featured main card fights at UFC Fight Night 164 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. “Do Bronx” wrecked Gordon’s equilibrium with a lethal counter right cross to the jaw that “Flash” never saw. Gordon (15-4) stumbled to his knees and when he got up, a vicious right uppercut exploded on his chin, sending him down and out.
