Charles Johnson showed that he isn’t an ideal opponent for a prospect hoping to build his name.
The 34-year-old Missouri native handed Lone’er Kavanagh his first career defeat, winning via second-round knockout in flyweight bout at UFC Shanghai on Saturday. Johnson touted the power in his right hand on the ESPN+ post fight show.
“… This right hand hurts,” Johnson said. “I can knock down anyone with it, but both hands hurt now. I'm a consummate professional. I'm always drilling. I'm always training. So I'm just very excited where I am in my career right now.
